    And as if to further make the point, of the northern counties that went for Romney, the two westernmost (Okaloosa and Bay) were within one percent of going for Gingrich, as was Duval (Jacksonville area, top right). Leon county is, ahem, a different matter.
    Conversely, the cluster of five southern counties that went for Gingrich has, in many ways, more in common with north Florida than with their surrounding counties.
