It's an interesting breakdown about the total CO2 emissions for steel, aluminum, and carbon bike frames (you can think of CO2 as a proxy for energy input if you prefer); how bikeshare programs are working out (not so well); ebikes and their peculiar issues (gak); and the big one that eventually gets me to buy new bike$, planned incompatibility and ob$ole$cence of part$.
I'm going bike $hopping next week. After a decade riding on leaky-assed air shocks, it's good to see some new designs using coil springs coming along, and a decent outside possibility of chromoly steel suspension frame in my future. Time will tell, but there will be pictures aplenty here when something finally happens.
